The fastest way to travel from Brussels to Bruges is by train. Direct trains run from Bruxelles-Midi to Bruges and take as little as 54 minutes, making this the quickest option. Trains also run frequently throughout the day.
Depending on when you book, a return day ticket typically costs anywhere between £30 and £45. Tickets can be booked online in advance, on the day of travel or directly at the station.
How to Get from Brussels to Bruges by Car
Driving from Brussels to Bruges takes around 1 hour and 25 minutes via the E40, depending on traffic. Renting a car or using your own gives you the flexibility to stop anywhere you like along the way.
Once in Bruges, parking is easy. There are several Interparking car parks within walking distance of the city centre, including Zilverpand, Biekorf, and Pandreitje. Each is just a 5-minute walk from the Market Square, making it a convenient spot to start exploring. A 24-hour parking ticket costs €16.80.
